FM Viz4D
- Visualize data of different resolution and from different swath sensors in a single environment - various multibeam sonar file and lidar file types are supported (see our supported Data Formats).
- Direct import of ungridded data to accurately and rapidly identify artifacts and features during survey quality control.
- Direct import of gridded data formats, including the BAG/Open Navigation Surface.
- Integrate support data - drape sonar imagery, nautical charts and Google Images, or add coastline, contours, Electronic Nautical Charts and point information.
Additional Functionality Available in Other Bundles
- Area based editing and CUBE1 processing of multibeam and lidar data (FM Hydro, FM Pro).
- Direct integration with existing systems - Optech SHOALS GCS, SAIC SABER and Tenix LADS (FM Hydro, FM Pro).
- Integration via common data formats - direct read and unload of a variety of sonar, software, and agency specific formats for processing including GSF, CARIS HIPS & SIPS HDCS, Hypack HS2, Kongsberg Neptune, ATLAS SURF, AHS HTF, FAU, NGA B93, and SMA BDI (FM Hydro, FM Pro).
- Integration to hydrographic database and charting solutions including ESRI PLTS Nautical Solution and HydroTeam (FM Hydro, FM Pro).
- Perform sounding selection for charting or shoal-biased data thinning (FM Hydro, FM Pro).
- Create Bathymetric Attributed Grids (BAG), and Sounding Density Surfaces for quality assurance (FM Hydro, FM Pro).
- Process backscatter data for the creation of mosaics or scalar surfaces2 (FM Geocoder, available standalone or as part of FM Habitat, FM Pro).
- Perform remote seabed characterization using ARA , Angular Response Analysis, for seabed texture plots and chart anchorage information2(FM Geocoder, available standalone or as part of FM Habitat, FM Pro).
For examples of Fledermaus being used by an agency doing hydrographic surveys, see the UK Marine Coast Guard Agency's Hydrography page, especially the CHP Survey Results page.
